Guilt, Low Self-esteem and Inner Child Work Therapy

Where does the emotion Guilt come from?

As children, they don’t know the feeling of Guilt or Low self-esteem.

This Emotion of “Guilt” or “Low self-esteem” is built in childhood memories

Not just family, if that child is never appreciated or given due respect by surrounding like Teachers, friends, parents of friends, etc. then that feeling of Low Self-worth gets fixed in their mind. If they have been bullied by friends in school and teachers or parents don’t support them at the right time then the situation might get worse for them.

  • In first formative 7 years child operates through purely emotional perspective. The Guilt he felt gets stored permanently in his mind
  • A child starts blaming himself for what is happening around them, feels ' I am not good enough.'
  • This emotion gets triggered when later in life, if they get repeated failure in job, exam, or any important event of life.
  • Or they have clashes with life partner. Or their children disobey them continuously.
  • By the time they become adult they have enough number of instances where they can believe that they are worthless
Guilt, Low Self-esteem and Inner Child Work Therapy

The actual drama starts in adulthood. Due to Small incidents, they get triggered and the worst part is “they are not aware that what is their trigger.”

They will understand about this much later in life.

They might not be hired because of low self-esteem, or if they get hired, even if they are doing good they won’t trust themselves easily that they doing good. (Employers don’t easily hire a person who is not confident about themselves.)

They might face Relationship issue with partner. If life partner is mature enough to understand about what is happening with their partner then they will help otherwise they will choose to live apart.

By this time even though everyone appreciates them they won’t believe easily because there is storage of so many years.

These people have to make aware that we are Not Living for other people.

” Self-criticism is not going to help them.”

They should start following affirmations with healing process:

  1. We are living for ourselves. We do not live for others so that “others can appreciate us”.
  2. We should look at ourselves. We should start living for ourselves, and not for others.
  3. Why are we even worried about what other people are thinking about ourselves?
  4. We are the “Purest Soul” on this earth. We ourselves are the greatest example to mankind

With the therapeutic approach – Inner Child work healing they should start with affirmations in daily life so that they can completely believe in themselves and if the situation comes, they will not be triggered because their mind is trained for further uncertain events.

Even if they get triggered they will understand and can handle it easily
